After the recent success of the Phil Whyman interview I decided to approach a few other well known faces in the psychic world. Ian lawman is the fresh-faced lad from the north of England, described as the ‘Bad-Boy of the Psychic world’ he has become a firm favourite amongst young and old alike with his appearances on Most Haunted and most recently I’m Famous and Frightened.
In 2003 Ian told the media that he had been in contact with Ronnie and Reggie Kray (Kray Twins) for over five years, the public and media were shocked but this was backed up by the incredible messages he was able to pass on to ex members of the Kray's gang and the underworld in general.
Apart from his many TV appearances Ian has been activley involved with many radio stations and has been written about in some of the UK's biggest papers. Ian lawman looks set to be one of the countries most popular mediums with his no-nonsense, direct and honest approach that seems to appeal to everyone.

I went to a few schools in Scunthorpe, and I did very well in my exams, to say how little I went to school.

I think it was seeing people that no one else could see, and made me understand a little.

I was about 4 years of age, when I first saw spirit, but it was when I was 15 when I first knew I had psychic abilities. Q5. What are the basic techniques you use to channel information from the spirit world to a subject?
That's a hard one really because I'm open all the time, I can't no matter what I try close down, so I don't have a techniques really, I just see and hear all the time. Q6. Are there any particular paranormal events that you have witnessed that stick in your mind, be it TV or personally?
Many that I don't agree with, but can't say, but I would say when I was on Famous and Frightened 3, when I swore, I know it was coming but I tried to fight it, and that made it worse and even louder. Q7. Your TV appearances have increased, with it your popularity, do you enjoy the attention?
No, I crawl up my own arse, I don't like the fame thing, and I find it very hard, I am a northern lad, and always will be, I will never change, I find time for anyone who talks to me, my Daughter who's nearly 7 loves it that her daddy is famous, we went into town the other day and I got stopped over 10 times, and she even started to sign her name for people which was fun, she even went into top-shop for some dark shades, but this is me and that's the way I like it. Though Karl and Yvette, who are my best mates, we talk each week and try and meet up as often as we can.
Q9. What is the most memorable show you have taken part in and what occurred?
It would have to be one on most Haunted, i went into the green room after the shoot, I was on my own, when a man came in, and said hello, and then just walked out, when I described what he looked like he was the ghost we was looking for all night.

I think he's a knob, no really, he's a good mate, and personally very good at his job, and has a understanding how I work, which helps.
Q12. Do you think it's time that fresh faces were introduced to Most Haunted on a more permanent basis in order to see its success continue?
I don't really know, but I do think Most Haunted as had its day, and its time for a new show.
Q13. What is your favorite moment from any show you have been involved in?
When Derek got locked in the toilet, I think this was a theater we did, and he thought it was one of the crew, and we was told the ghost did this to people, so funny.
Q14. With the obvious success of "I'm Famous and Frightened", do you see this becoming a long running program?
NO, we are no longer doing anymore, this was only a short run, I think a show like Famous and Frightened could only go for so long.

Well I have started workshops after many fans pulling my arm to do them so at the moment I will be concerting on those, but with many things on the boil with Antix.

It would have to be Derek, and why, he's funny, and I have worked with him for many years.

My Friends love it, and my Daughter is my number one fan, she was asked in class to talk about what your Dads do for employment, Annabel said that my daddy talks to dead people, I was asked up to school to talk to the head, only to find she was a fan, so funny, my dad hates it, and my other family love it.

I just go what god throws at me each day; my agent is the ambitious one.
Q20. You have been described as the "bad-boy of the psychic world", are you a bad boy?
Yeh I am, some times I wish I wasn't, but the past stays with you for many years.
Q21. Do you think that a refreshing approach such as yours is a good thing for the future of paranormal research, taking us away from the often serious and rather old fashioned approach we see today and thus making the phenomenon more open to a younger audience?
Well I would say yes lol, but I do have a young audience, and I think the old purple rinse is well gone.
Q22. Apart from your work commitments, what do you like to do to relax?
I am addicted to exercise, so that's a big part of my life, I'm also a black belt 3 Dan, so I spar a lot, and I have to say Ice my dog and spending time with the two girls in my life Julie and my daughter Annabel.
